The Only Way to Master Any Creative Skill

One of my language teachers used to say, “Repetition is the mother of learning.” In his case, he was concerned with us mastering language. But, few students followed his lead. The few that did became conversational or fluent in Spanish. It seems the doing of something over and over again not only helps one work through methods that don’t work, but also allows one to become so skilled at a particular art that the work appears to — abd does — come naturally.
