Caring for your pets on moving day

We all know that moving day can be a stressful time and that pets can become anxious if we are. Bryan Moffat from SOS Removals share with us his tips on how to care for your pets on moving day.

If you have a pet that is usually anxious around strange people, noise and activity Bryan suggests that you should consider putting the animal into boarding or having family or friend’s look after it for the day. Once the move is complete, the removalists have gone and the doors and gates are shut then you can feel safe to bring the pet into the new home and a safe environment.

Once your pet has arrived at your new home it is always a good idea to familiarize it with the new area and make it feel as comfortable as possible. If you would like any more advice, feel free to get in touch with our team.

For my dog I have recently use Green Cross Vets in North Turramurra for boarding, they also have an excellent in-depth webpage on moving with your pets and things you should remember organise: https://www.greencrossvets.com.au/pet-library/articles-of-interest/moving-house-with-a-pet/
