Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5–6)

Brothers and sisters in Christ, I invite you to journey deeper with this resource. Consider it a *continued conversation with our Heavenly Father, as we turn to scripture to draw closer and know Him more intimately.

*Initial Post: Surrendering to the Holy Spirit

Remember, surrendering to the Holy Spirit is not a one-time event but a daily, ongoing commitment. As we navigate the challenges of life, it’s vital that we continually turn to God, seeking His guidance and trusting in His providence. It’s my prayer for each of you that as you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you, guiding your every step.

Jesus is willing and able to help each and every one of us. We know this because He completed the greatest act of surrender. He surrendered His place in heaven, coming to earth, living a perfect life, and dying on the cross for our sins. Because of His sacrifice, we can have eternal life and a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father.

How to Have a Real Relationship with God:

If you’ve never made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I urge you not to let another moment pass by. None of this applies to you unless you’re in relationship with God.

The gospel is simple: We’ve all sinned, but God, in His unconditional love, sent His only Son to die for those sins. By believing in Jesus and surrendering our lives to Him, we can be saved.

Let’s pray:

Heavenly Father, I recognize that I am a sinner in need of a Savior and true purpose. I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again. I surrender my life to Him and ask Him to be the Lord and Savior of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and teach me to walk in Your ways and understanding. Thank You for the gift of eternal life with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Next Steps:

For those who just prayed that prayer, I rejoice with you! Your journey has just begun. Dive into the Word (Bible), find a local church, and surround yourself with emotionally and spiritually healthy believers who are mature and can support and encourage you in your walk.

For everyone, as you go forth this week, remember to surrender daily to the Holy Spirit, trusting in God’s plan and guidance. May the Lord bless you and keep you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
