Subcafé, a self-review
Subcafé is a new social network that feels like Twitter and Instagram in the beginning. It’s based on two core ideas: 240 characters posts and square photos merged together in one linear stream of content.
You can use mentions if you want to send a thought across the network. If you want to do it privately, you can send a message. Photos can be zoomed in and out. The backend automatically rotates, crops and resizes any pictures.

A special thing is the option to dislike content. It can help to avoid spam or any other type of content that can do harm. The community can act on its own to manage this publicly. Each post or photo will have a score in the end.

Subcafé is mobile friendly. It can be installed on Android by using Add to Homescreen from Chrome. An app for iPhone will be available soon.

It has verified accounts by using PayPal donation tools. These accounts will always have the option to post pictures more frequently, a dark theme, the option to create a new theme, video and audio support if Subcafé takes off and so on.
Go to https://sub.cafe/ to sign up and give it a try. If you don’t like what you see, you can delete your account completely.
