I recently watched a documentary on Netflix called "Bully" and the people in charge of the school system in this documentary essentially "gaslight" the kids and the parents. It sucks to live in a world where we're not able to speak about our vulnerabilities. We can't possibly be in control of how others react to everything when there are too many external factors and other people are really good at reading your insecurities even if you attempt to hide them. Yes, there are some good take-aways from this article in regards to social media, but ultimately there is power owning your vulnerability and not being afraid to speak about it. Who can relate to someone who is always in perpetual, emotional hiding? Invest in yourself by owning your insecurities and finding "your people" who are there to lift you.
