Well, let’s finally download and install our wonderful brandnew MADWallet!

MADWallet is a non-custodial (over-the-counter) Secured Multichain Wallet, powered by Xend Finance. With this wallet you can not only store/receive/send cryptocurrencies, but also access decentralized applications (dApps), although you will not be bored inside the application itself, because you can work there with trading, staking/farming/saving, NFTs, metavers, etc. Moreover, without leaving the application, you do not transfer the ability to access your assets to third-party platforms. At the moment, the wallet exists as an extension for Google family browsers (Chrome, Opera, Brave, Firefox).

MADWallet supports all networks that are compatible with the Ethereum Network Virtual Machine (EVM). That is, in addition to the Ethereum ERC-20 main network, you will have the opportunity to work in networks of different standards, for example, in the Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Avalance, Fantom, Arbitrum, Optimism, etc. networks.

I advise you to subscribe to Twitter @madwalletverse and @xendfinance because this is only the very beginning of the upcoming amazing adventure!

So, let’s install MADWallet: You can click “download extension” from the official website of the project https://madwallet.io/

Then click “install MADWallet”. In Chrome Web Store click “Add to browser”. Next, the application will ask for several permissions — you can agree. This is required to connect to and interact with sites.

We see that the application is installed, the screen lists the advantages of this harvester. Once again, we understand how cool this wallet is! Click “Get Started” and proceed to create a wallet.

We get to the add wallet screen, which has two options:
- “Create a new wallet”
- “Import wallet” (for previously created wallet using a recovery phrase)

At this stage, recovery does not yet function as expected. For example, I never managed to restore my wallet using a secret phrase. By the way, soon encryption and wallet recovery via mail will become available in the MAD.

To create a new wallet, click “Create a new wallet”. Next, the system will ask you to come up with an 8-characters password.

We come up with our password. The password is required to prevent unauthorized access to your wallet. But if the password is lost, the wallet can be restored using a secret phrase.

Click “Next”. Now we turn to the secret phrase of the wallet, it’s very important moment.

Here we see some tips from the wallet about the seed phrase:

“Store this phrase in a password manager like 1Password.

Write this phrase on a piece of paper and store in a secure location. If you want even more security, write it down on multiple
pieces of paper and store each in 2–3 different locations.
Memorize this phrase.”

After that, MAD will ask us to repeat 4 words from secret phrase, to make sure that we saved it. So choose correct word for each position:

Your new MADWallet is ready to use! Now you can close the tab and call the wallet if necessary from the extensions panel of your browser.

Finally we are inside. We see the desktop, sections are conveniently and clearly distributed. From the cartoonish design, it immediately becomes clear, that the wallet was originally created for the NFT and Metavers. I’m already looking forward to the announced customization, where the skin of each wallet, will be individually configured and will be NFTs in itself! That super cool! All the main functions are located in plain sight — in the very center Send/Receive, Swap/Bridge, Assets/History buttons.

The “M” icon in the upper left corner returns us to the main page of the wallet. The circle in the upper right corner opens up account details (as well as creating several new accounts, or importing existing ones), a chat with technical support (What? Estimate!)

“chat with technical support”

and settings (which you are unlikely to look into, but see what’s there, it will be useful). For example, in the “Networks” tab, we can manually add a new network (for example, Arbitrum), and in the “Contacts” tab, administer our address book.

By the way, by clicking on the network change (in the upper right corner) and selecting BSC or Polygon, you can see an additional section — Savings. In general, it was successfully managed to combine not the easiest design with ease of interaction. Everything is located simply and clearly, in convenient and prominent places.

Renamed our wallet. Then click/copy wallet address and let’s send of some gas, to interact with the blockchain! I’m send some MATIC, because transactions in Polygone are cheaper, and there are options to try all the functionality, available in the wallet. In particular, the transfer of 50 MATIC, from another MADWallet, cost me only 0.00676 MATIC ($0.01). Now you can start fully using your wallet!

Excursion into the MAD world will continue in the next material, literally in a few days…
