Vanessa Vanjie Mateo may have been the first queen eliminated in season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, but may she live on forever in our memes.

After Ru told her to sashay away, Miss Vanjie walked backwards off the stage with incredible sass, yelling “Miss Vanjie, Miss Vanjie, Miss…Vanjie,” and then she was gone.

She rose up and seized the memes of production. And for now, the internet is good again:

There’s much more where that came from. Meme roundups only scratch the surface of the Gay Internet and how much fun we are having right now.

Flowerbomb (Viktor & Rolf)

Miss Vanjie’s elimination from the competition was based on her regrettable runway choice: a flowery blob covered in Barbie dolls, plus a cape. There is only one perfume that can do this outfit justice: Flowerbomb.

Flowerbomb is a messy floral. At first, it smells like the reckless moment you finish a bag of sour gummy bears coated in sugar, then knock back all the sugar that has shaken down to the bottom of the bag. After a while, Flowerbomb smells like sugar-coated flower petals and black tea that has been left to steep for too long. At the end of the day, it smells like plastic Barbie dolls and sugar cookies.

Considering that Miss Vanjie’s catchphrase is “Come get des cookies,” it’s perfect.

It gives me comfort to know that Flowerbomb has been on the market for 10 years and is still a bestseller. Here’s to at least another decade of Miss Vanjie.

You can get a sample of Flowerbomb at Sephora. Ask an employee for a sample, and they’ll make you one on the spot.

This is first in a series of perfume matchups for the queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 10. I’m going episode-by-episode, and if you want to know when new stories come out, you can follow me here on Medium, or on on twitter at lucyasun
