I truly don’t understand the big deal. I’m white just putting that out there — not that I feel it makes any difference. Really does it matter how we phrase things — yes there is stepping over the line and then there is just plain grammar. I also want to point out that my sister -in -law of 36 years was black. We lost her and my brother months apart. I’m very aware of the difference between vernacular but does it really matter?

What it comes down to in my book is that we are all just people. If someone woke me up early in the moning — I’d be cranky too. Don’t care who it was — even a President don’t care which one would have made me upset.

Don’t see anything wrong with the note. I agree with the D Mitchell it’s just about being courteous.
