You Suck!
Scott Kaple

Thanks for this comical bit of encouragement. I read it while stuck in NYC rush hour traffic between a writing masterclass with historical nonfiction writer Anton DiScalfini and a playwrighting class at Primary Stages. I was trying to direct my cab driver to take a different street but he could barely hear me over the blare of horns and the sounds of a million pedestrians laughing, talking, yelling, singing, swearing, kissing, eating, and generally going about their New York day. So instead I let him have the higher fare, go the longer way, being a few extra minutes late. I read your missive on my iPhone on the way and smiled. I was embracing the suck.
