More Than Just a Degree
The USC Marshall MS in Marketing Program: Helping build connections that will last forever
Good news keeps coming from the USC MS in Marketing graduates. I recently interviewed Anuj Bhasin who now works at Ipsos in North America.
Anuj Bhasin, Class of 2016, graduated with a MS in Marketing degree from the USC Marshall School of Business in Summer 2016 and is now working as a Senior Research Analyst at one of the world’s leading market research firms, Ipsos in North America.
In his highly consumer behavior-driven role as a Senior Research Analyst, Anuj focuses on the analysis and interpretation of various consumer data. Despite the position being research-oriented, Anuj also faces clients directly, maintaining and strengthening company-client relationships.
“The program has helped me further my career in the field that I’m passionate about: Marketing. The mentorship program introduced me to my highly motivational mentors, one of whom introduced me to Ipsos.”
Anuj attributes his achievement in landing a position at Ipsos to the USC Marshall Master of Science in Marketing Program. He shares: “The program has helped me further my career in the field that I’m passionate about: Marketing, in particular, market research. The mentorship program introduced me to my highly motivational mentors, one of whom introduced me to Ipsos.” He further mentioned that the program has helped tremendously in connecting him with people from different walks of life and building relationships that will last forever. He met his mentors through the mentorship program and built his professional network through the program’s exclusive Masters of Marketing Seminars.
Words of Wisdom for Current and Prospective Students
“Network like a BOSS!” exclaimed Anuj, when asked if he has any words of wisdom for current and prospective students. He then continued, “Getting good grades is one aspect, the other aspects are talking to as many people as you can, building your personal network. Keep the communication going and try to figure out what it is that you really want to do. DO NOT GIVE UP!”
Three Words to Describe the USC Marshall MS in Marketing Program Experience
Anuj described the USC Marshall MS in Marketing Program in these three words: “Connective. Educational. Precise.”
Contributing to the Power of the Trojan Network
When asked if he would like to add anything else, Anuj replied, “If you find yourself positioned in a company before you graduate, please help your fellow Trojans. If there is something you really want to do, do it with full passion. Pursue all you want with full passion and belief.”
