Introduction and Thesis

The Land of the free and brave, honoring the men and women who risk their life, that we may live the American dream. A country that welcomes all immigrants, allowing its citizens to practice religion, freedom of speech and individual rights. A Country that offers opportunities for all who want to become whatever they want to. A country that allows one to have their own identity, An education system offering to open doors for a better future, breaking racial barriers and cultural differences. The American creed that allows citizens to serve its people practice equality and how everyone idealistically has a fair chance to have and live the American dream.

Freedom of speech

Is freedom of speech really allowing us to be able to protect what we say, what we write and being able to express ourselves? How is it impacting our children and society? When it comes to our children we want them to be able to be confident in who they are. Freedom of speech should provide opportunity for society to not be oppressed or restricted in standing up for what they believe in or say because they might not agree with it, being able to have a mind of their own, being able to make your own choices or decisions because you are valued as a human being and an individual who has the right to exercise freedom of speech. If it was taken away people would have no voices and nothing would be accomplished. The purpose of the American Creed would be pointless and have no meaning. Freedom of speech allows society to be able to progress, develop and reinforce other human rights and the ability to express opinion and speak freely , which is important in bringing change in society. Freedom of speech also allows its citizens to criticize the government and speak their minds without fear of being censored or persecuted.

Freedom of education

Education is the key to success! As the saying goes. Growing up our parents always tells us that education is the foundation to success, but not all children have this privilege or opportunity. Education should be available to all regardless of race or religion. Education is fundamental in shaping one’s individual’s life , it prepares one for skills and helps develop personality and attitude, creating chances for employment and having a career. Education helps develop critical thinking skills, helping in knowing how to use logic when making decisions and interacting with people. Education can help secure a job and when one is equipped and has all the tools, they are more confident to face the future and are more prepared. There are many immigrants who come to America, for a better life and some who are in America yet still are not able to have the privilege of living the American dream because maybe their parents can’t afford to pay for their children’s education. There should be more programs available to all, education for all non religious, non denominational, not-for-profit organizations. Where quality can be provided.

Freedom of religion

“Become who you want to be, it doesn’t matter where you come from, but where you’re going.”

We all have a story of where we come from. There is no past without a future. Our past doesn’t define who we are or who we become but shapes us to become better and who we want to be. This should be the mentally we have. They say “ It takes a village to raise a child” Having the freedom to religion has an impact on society, culture and personality. Community is another helpful outlet. The American creed allows for one to be able to choose whatever religion they wish to practice. The Church is one of the well known organizations that plays a big part in helping people still be who they want to be. Church and the community. Our free exercise of religion provides us with more opportunities and the ability to live our lives according to our values.

Conclusion

Conclusion

In conclusion, America should be the Land of the free, where people of all different religions, cultures and races should be able to have the freedom of free speech, free religion and free education. This is my American creed, that we all have the same opportunities and free will
