I partially agree with your point tho. Programming as we know it today was not invented as a whole with purpose in mind, it is the reminder of inventing the computer and it has evolved with no purpose in mind for decades. I suggest that we tackle this problem as a whole for the first time.
And yes, we will not make a stack 100% future proof and free of defects but first, I expect it to be much better (cheaper, simpler) because it was purposefully defined and second, we can add affordances to make it easy to upgrade and even replace this stack.
