One Trick to becoming Wiser in Life

When I tell you that you just have to do what you set your mind to in order to get what you want, you will tell me that you know this.
You’ve heard it before, you’ve listened to it often enough and you want to hear something new for a change.
That is knowledge without wisdom.
Although you know it, you never do it.
In fact, you know how to fix almost every problem in your life… it’s actually pretty simple.
If you are broke you need to make more money.
If you are alone you need to find more friends or a partner.
And if you don’t know what you want out of life, you need to sit down and figure it out.
To become wiser, however, you must stop thinking and start acting.
Only through experience will you learn the truth behind what you know.
You will learn to apply the knowledge, to use it and to shape it, which will make you wise.
To become wise in life you have to go through countless experiences.
That’s why our elders are often considered wiser than the younglings.
Everything you learn makes you more intelligent, every mistake you make makes you smarter, and every experience you have makes you wiser.
Everything you do will make you wiser about the way the world works.
All you need to do then is to experience as much as there is to experience:
- Join different hobby clubs.
- Try out a new sport.
- Travel to far off places.
- Talk to people you would never talk to.
- Try everything that interests you.
- Fail often.
- Succeed even more.
- Make mistakes.
- Get it right.
- And totally screw it up.
Learning to be wise means living a wide life, not a tall one.
A life that is filled with countless of different experiences instead of one experience lived over and over again.
As long as you keep experiencing new things in life you will keep learning.
To become wiser, you must experience and do as much as you possibly can!
