Oops. My charity is more money-driven than some ‘For-profits’.

ROI. Return On Investment.
What kind of return are you after?

I invite you to remove your glasses for a moment and take a look at the lens through which you see the world.

You work with other people, under a brand. You are a charity. Or a company.
The broad term I use is ‘Human collaboration’ — people working together, toward a common purpose. In Auschwitz, people were put into compartmentalised roles, with very clear instructions, removed from the knock on effects of their actions.

When this happens, press this button.
When that happens, pull this lever.

People are dangerous when compartmentalised like this.
That’s what I think. And I will express this belief through the way I pour myself into Dignity platform with Pasco, Anna and Jo — 3 people I’m not just inspired by, but who, on a weekly basis, help me see my shortfalls, my misunderstandings, wrong assumptions, and who also just have a bunch of skills and experience I don’t have.

Would you rather have zero pounds

or zero purpose?

I’d rather have zero £, because money is just an agreement that people made ages ago, thinking it’d make trade easier.
Purpose is the reason your life is meaningful.
The reason your Collaboration is valuable.

The world’s fastest, most beautiful, environmentally friendly, brilliantly designed car is still *all* of those ^ things, even when it’s run out of fuel (money is *one* of the fuels, no? Along with motivation) it’s just sitting there, waiting to be re-fueled.

My point is, put your passion about the impact you want to have in the world above your bank account balance.

If you close your eyes, imagine yourself on your deathbed, and you remember the handful of most valuable, most precious memories in your life, how does money fit into these?

Is money your passion and purpose a by-product?
Or is purpose your passion, and money is *one* of the fuels that helps you realise your purpose?
