Lynchburg store robbed at gunpoint, police search for suspect

On the evening of Sunday, January 22nd, an armed man entered the Neighborhood market on Park Ave. and used a handgun to demand money. The suspect fled the scene on foot after successfully acquiring an unknown amount of cash. Police responded to the store soon after but are still striving to identify and locate the armed robber.

Liberty University President Jerry Falwell, Junior will have “official role” with Trump Team

Liberty University’s president, Jerry Falwell Jr., has been a devoted supporter of President Trump throughout Trump’s nomination, campaign and transition into the oval office. Falwell was allegedly offered the position of education secretary on Trump’s team but turned it down due to his commitment to Liberty University. However, Falwell believes that he will still serve in some official capacity on behalf of President Donald J. Trump.

Police: Dump truck, pickup truck involved in fatal Bedford accident

At around noon on Tuesday, January 24th, a pickup truck rear-ended a dump truck while both vehicles were traveling east on route 460. Unfortunately, the accident claimed the life of the driver of the pickup truck; police are working to notify the next of kin. Traffic was stopped for more than two hours while state police investigated the accident.
