Likes are like cages, they trap you

I am a young kid who is entitled to earning likes on Instagram. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am not an attention seeking little BRAT. I just want my friends to like my photos because it helps my self-esteem. Plus, who doesn’t like getting notification after notification of “this person liked your post” and “you have earned a new follower”. Of course, I am not a famous Instagram model, I am just a kid with big dreams. I don’t even have 100 followers yet, while my friends are stunting on me with almost 200 followers.

Anyways, I only posted 22–23 things on my Instagram, and get an average of 10 likes. And, before you say “oh wow, making a story about Instagram likes when you barely get any? how fake”, don’t you remember when I said I am NOT at ALL a famous Instagram star? Back on track, I love getting likes. Getting likes on your Instagram post is like eating a buffet of my favorite food items. JUST WONDERFUL! I also like making stories, cause I see all my friends watch them. But, us humans in 2018 LIVE on Instagram likes. We FEED on Instagram likes. We only CARE about Instagram likes. But, what we don’t realize is that we care about pictures and selfies and videos, but not that we lose social skills everytime we just stare at our screens.

During the summer, all I have been doing is looking at a screen, texting friends, and talking to a camera. So, when I went to school, I was the shyest girl you could find. But, this is what happens to people every SINGLE DAY! Every day, people lose more and more friends. Every day, people make fewer and fewer friends. And every day, people get bullied more and more! Stop looking at a screen and look at the REAL WORLD! People need your help! And you CAN help them.
