If you are staying near to Hammersmith Bridge and looking for things to do, either during the day or during the evening then read on. This part of West London is well known for its nightlife and the vibrant music scene, especially if you travel up into nearby Shepherd’s Bush; but if live entertainment isn’t your thing then there are still plenty of ways in which to enjoy yourself.

Furnivall Gardens

Furnivall Gardens is a lovely green space in Hammersmith which is located alongside the River Thames. The area on which the gardens were built has an interesting past; it was previously bomb-damaged land but it was decided to be put to good use and transformed into a park during the late 1940s to coincide with the Festival of Britain. Points of interest include a street lamp from West Berlin which was installed during 1963 to show that the area has been twinned with Berlin and if you happen to visit during the summer you may get chance to see the nearby Furnivall Sculling Club rowing up and down the stretches of water.

Hammersmith Apollo

This large entertainment venue has a wide range of events which take place throughout the year from stand up comedy shows to live music performances. If you are staying in of the popular West London hotels then the Hammersmith Apollo will be practically on your doorstep making it a very convenient place to sit back and enjoy some live entertainment. 2017 sees some very famous faces taking to the stage here including Jimmy Carr, Busted and Russell Kane.

iPilot Flight Simulator Experience

An absolute must for anyone who has ever dreamed about flying their own plane, the iPilot Flight Simulator Experience is just a short distance from the LUMA CONCEPT HOTEL Hammersmith and offers visitors the chance to fully immerse themselves in a flight simulator. You can take off and land at more than 24,000 airports around the world, challenge yourself with engine failures, bad weather and a variety of other situations or use the simulator to help combat fear of flying with the special iPilot programme.

Fuller’s Griffin Brewery Tour

Just over a mile from Hammersmith Bridge is the Fuller’s Griffin Brewery Tour; a unique tour which gives visitors the opportunity to discover how Fuller’s ales are made, why they taste so good and the secrets behind the Brewery’s success. This is a working brewery so the tour really does take you on an authentic behind the scenes look at how things work, as well as giving you the option to try out different samples along the way. Around 20 tours run each week and they last for about an hour and a half giving plenty of time for exploring, tasting and discovering all you can about the Brewery and the process of making the ales.
