Hi Maggie,
Great article and totally agree with your recommendations. I would add to that the development of a Roadmap for implementing their Anti-Corruption Action Plan. For example the ACWG 2015–2016 Anti-Corruption Implementation Plan, ‘provides detailed outline of the Group’s work program’ and outlines clear commitments towards combating corruption and minimising the incidence of corruption (G20 Australia 2014). However, a more specific plan on how these actions would be implemented was not clearly specified. Same goes for the ACAP 2017–2018 which states its commitments to continue actions in various sectors affected by corruption without providing a clear set of strategies on how these actions may be achieved.
In this sense a Road Map could include specific planning for taking actions, links to other areas of concern, identification of gaps and prioritization of activities and effective communication strategies amongst involved actors, would be able to set out a series of effective and efficient anti-corruption approaches that could be internationally and nationally beneficial in improving anti-corruption strategies.
Cheers,
Lumi
