Why Programmers Need Limits
Charles Scalfani

Your article emphasizes everything that I hate about modern programming, and reminds me about all the things that I miss and loved about programming when I first learned it. GOTO statements, that full unbridled power over the machine, is what had me fall in love with programming in the first place. This movement away from power goes against every grain of my being, but I’m forcing myself to attempt to adapt. Label me a feet-dragger, but even if my work was MEANINGLESS, it made me feel good to have that control. My best code is still spaghetti code.
