PARSEC FRONTIERS will be unlike any MMO you have ever played before. With the use of the Ethereum Blockchain and Smart Contracts, in such a unique way, the MMO community will witness a brand new concept.
In-game Smart Contracts: Players will be able to use smart contracts to set up agreements with one another. Example: One player can agree to sell a in-game item to another player, with the second party agreeing to make specific payments each week or month, etc. If the agreement/smart contract is not followed specifically by the protocols of the smart contract, simply by NOT paying the debt owed on time. The in-game item will be returned to the first party and all previous payments will be kept. The smart contract will become void and the second party will lose the in-game item and all previous payments before the voided contract.
Overview: Parsec Frontiers will be set in the future, a post-apocalyptic scenario, where humans are forced to leave Earth. They will search the galaxy and the Milky Way for other planets and stars to build outposts on. These newly found planets and stars will contain highly valuable resources to exploit for in-game profits. Raw ore can be refined into valuable metals to craft specific in-game items such as tools, spaceships and weaponry. There will be the freedom of an open market, where players can buy and sell in-game items on planetary exchanges. With the use of the Ethereum Blockchain and smart contracts, these agreements will take place and all transactions will be paid in PARSEC TOKENS. This will create a REAL ECONOMY, making the in-game profits translate to real world profits, paid in Ethereum via smart contracts.
Interstellar Alliances: As we know, where there are valuable natural resources, players may choose to use tactical battle to obtain these commodities. In-game decisions will change the landscape of the game and will determine the outcome of creating enemies or alliances. You can battle to protect your assets or even attack others to steal valuable resources. As you explore planets and stars, players may come in contact with ancient alien civilizations. These aliens may pose a threat, so tread lightly and watch your six as you explore unknown territories.
