The following summary provides a status update for activities for the L1 Task Force from May 15th to May 26th, 2023.

Q2 Roadmap and Target Dates

There was a slight revision to the Q2 roadmap, including adding the 5# minimum validator commission solution to Q2 development. In addition, the target date of May 31st for the Cosmwasm v2.1.0 upgrade was revised to allow for additional testing, and the upgrade date has been scheduled for June 14th. With the extra time for testing, we hope to be able to include the 5% minimum commission fee for validators in the v2.1.0 upgrade.

Key Q2 deliverables include Cosmos SDK v0.45.11, Tendermint v0.34.24, Cosmwasm 1.1.0 (Parity), IBC to Kujira, Cross-chain liquidity assessment, and Tendermint to Comet BFT Assessment

Sprint #4 May 1st to May 12th

During the 4th sprint of Q2, the upgrade for v.2.0.1 was completed successfully, and the primary focus of the team has been to finalize the Cosmwasm upgrade and migration.

Majority of open items listed are for v2.1.0 Upgrade (Parity)

v2.1.0 Testing

The primary focus of the L1 task force is currently working on testing the Cosmwasm upgrade extensively. The Bajor-1 testnet has been upgraded to Cosmwasm v1.1.0, and existing smart contracts have been tested, and new contracts deployed. The test results have been good to date, and we are on-track for the Rebel-2 testnet ‘dress rehearsal’ upgrade. The Rebel-2 upgrade has been scheduled for May 31st at 11:00am EST.

Key Target Dates:

  • May 15th to May 26th — unit testing, Bajor-1 network upgrade, and Smart Contract Testing on v2.1.0. Completed
  • May 31st — Testnet Upgrade Scheduled
  • June 1st / June 2nd Agora upgrade proposal Scheduled
  • June 14th — Columbus-5 production upgrade Scheduled

Additional Activities In progress / Completed:

  • 5% minimum validator commission (attempting to include in v2.1.0 upgrade) In progress
  • Update of validator and Terra Classic developer documentation. In progress
  • ‘Cherry Patch’ severe security vulnerability patch Completed
