I like that you chose to interview fathers/male figures. It is a demographic I don’t initially associate with shopping for kids’ food. Their responses made sense from the perspective of a parent, regardless of whether they represent the main purchasing demographic of this industry. I also like your creative approach to study for your food science test, using different snacks to guide your preparation.
I’m curious to see how female perspectives of the same age and work experience compare with your three interviewees. Although not required for the assignment, I wish you had even more data to draw from.
What if you talked to couples and interviewed them on how they decide to purchase snacks for their kids? (But interview them separately to see if there are any inconsistencies/communication gaps in their reasoning.)
