How to fix lag in Twitch

The way to watch Twitch when you are not in 1st world

I have love and hate experience with Twitch. While I love for their unique chat culture (some may not agree to this point), watching powerpoint stream is not the best thing you would like to encounter with. There are many work around in this issue like redirect connection to US server but now they are gone. One day I found this solution for myself on reddit forum (I forgot link already but it is a reply in post on how to fix lag in Twitch) and would like to share with anyone who face the same problem as me

How we going to fix this, you need program that call Livestreamer ; you can download it here for Windows. You should download the complete installer version (.exe version) so you don’t need to config path by yourself and have VLC player install during the process. If you are using other platform please go to http://livestreamer.tanuki.se/en/latest/install.html.

After that you go to command prompt (you can press Windows key + R, type cmd then press Enter) type livestreamer.exe <URL of Twitch Channel> <quality> and press Enter. For example, livestreamer.exe http://www.twitch.tv/beyondthesummit high. This will open VLC with streaming inside player.

Drag your lag-free stream to browser. Enjoy your chat

Even if you don’t know quality of the stream you can safe bet to type “best”. This is always work to fetch highest quality. Or you can type anything. There will be error return that what streams quality is avaliable

I have internet with 3 Mbps, and now I rarely have lag. So hope this could help you out for anyone who has lag likes me
