They can’t betray what they don’t believe in. The Black Bloc doesn’t believe in nonviolent protest. They showed up and broke shit specifically because the non-violent protests, while awesome, weren’t going to stop Milo’s speech. The Bloc’s violence did stop it though. It’s a dirty job, and one that’s living in a special ethical grey zone for sure, but I’m glad someone is willing to do it.
