The greatest display of young talent ever held in history took place in January 2015 in Madrid and is called Pangea. More than 200 students between 16 and 22 years old from 65 different countries got together to be the proof of why we should have never been underestimated: Being young will stop being our biggest limitation to become our very best asset.

The 2015 Starting Point is an event made by students for students. Only 3 days of pure inspiration, talks, debates and trading ideas. No barriers limiting the exchange of our ambitions, knowledges and aspirations, not matter our background, race or language.

Pangea, means the start of something new and 2015 is a especial year. The year where millennials and the youth know that they have the power to make the difference and why not, change the world.

The main spot of Pangea was “age is not a problem anymore”, this was like the “law” that ruled the performance of the event. We all have clear that age is not a limitation, and in Pangea’s community there are no exceptions. That is how Jordan Casey, a 15 years-old Irish boy is the youngest CEO of the world, creating 3 companies by his own and starting by the age of 9. And Luis Ivan Cuende, a young guy adwarded as the best European Hacker and he is not even reaching his 20's. So curios and admiring is also the story of a 13 years-old little girl named Alyssa Carson that is being prepared to be the first human to reach Mars in 2033.

However, there were not only inspiring stories but also much work that have been done. The Pangea Masters, were workshops sponsored by Microsoft, Impact Hub, Mente Colectiva, Unreasonable Institute, Delivering Happiness and Telefonica Open Future, where we could interact and challenge ourself from different perspectives.

Moreover, the entire crowd of assistances of Pangea had the privilege of having two awesome panels. An entreprenuerial one, held by real entrepreneurs which main topics were about the failures, achievements and everyday challenges that an entrepreneur has to go trough and a Tech and Innovation panel organized by Singularity University, which discuss and debate about the latest innovations in technology in the world.

The 2015 Starting Point conference was held in two of the most renowned European institutions dedicated to promote the education of tomorrow’s leaders: Rafael del Pino Foundation and IE University.

In the end, Madrid was the perfect place to start this movement, not only because is in the middle of the world but also because it has an incredible and involving entrepreneurial spirit between the youth. In this way, now we all know that something great has already started and is in us to make things happen. We are now ready to share who we are to better become who we want to be…
