Cole Walliser, an acclaimed Canadian director and filmmaker, has gained fame for his innovative use of slow-motion video. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia, but his career took a significant turn towards the film industry in Hollywood. Walliser’s directorial expertise has been sought after by high-profile artists like Pink and Katy Perry, and he has also directed commercials for well-known brands such as Red Bull and Chevy. His collaboration with Covergirl stands out, where he directed campaigns featuring celebrities like Cher, Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, Tinashe, and Laura Marano.

Walliser’s journey into filmmaking started in Vancouver, Canada, where he grew up in a culturally diverse household, with a Chinese mother and Caucasian father. His initial interest in film was kindled through skateboarding, leading him to explore the world of cinematography. Despite starting with a psychology degree, Walliser realized his true passion lay in filmmaking, prompting a move to Los Angeles. He began his career by editing dance and choreography videos, which eventually led to a significant seven-year collaboration with the artist Pink, involving tours and music videos.

He is particularly recognized for his work with the GlamBOT, an advanced camera system initially used in food commercials. Walliser adapted this technology for red carpet events, capturing celebrities in exquisite slow motion for E! Entertainment’s The GlamBOT. This involves using a motion control camera that shoots at an impressive 1000 frames per second, all under Walliser’s creative direction.

In addition to his filmmaking career, Walliser has also dabbled in television, serving as a host and judge on Hulu’s photography competition series “Exposure,” which premiered in 2021. He has even embarked on an entrepreneurial venture, starting his own coffee business, Café Colione, from his home. With aspirations to direct a narrative feature film, Walliser maintains diverse interests, including a love for travel and music, with preferences ranging from Harry Styles to Drake. His directing style is noted for its glamorous and humorous elements, often highlighting strong female characters.
