Dump trucks, end dump trailers and side dump bucket trailers are used to collect construction debris (such as sand, gravel or demolition debris) and coal. Dump trailers are available in a variety of designs, capacities and sizes to meet your needs and help you operate safely.

Are you considering a dump truck trailer for your business? Whether or not a dump truck trailer is the best fit for your business depends on many factors.

Three types of dump truck trailers.

1. Dump Trucks.

Depending on your requirements, engines can be selected from 290 to 420hp. Choosing a shorter wheelbase will improve frame strength and vehicle passability. For dump system, you can choose either mid-roof or front-roof.

These trucks are usually driven on city roads for distances less than 200 km. 336hp or 380hp engine power is the best choice. Choose a 6X4 or 8X4 tractor depending on the load capacity. For transport distances over 200 km, it is best to use an 8X4 for more loads.

Luyi can offer customers different models depending on the workplace and load requirements.

Van Body is available in rectangular and U-shaped types.

✴ The box type is sturdily designed to counteract the thrusts that the trailer takes during tipping. It is cheap and easy to produce. It is a widely used option worldwide. 2.

✴ The U-Type dump trailer unloads faster and more thoroughly than other options you’ll find in the industry market. Most importantly, this is a lightweight trailer that gives you a large load capacity.

2. End dump trailers.

End dump trailers, also known as rear tipping trailers, work by unloading cargo into the rear area. Operational safety is well maintained by a well-designed unloading mechanism.

Once the rear of the trailer is locked, you can load the cargo in that position. When you reach your destination, the front side of the dump trailer raises, causing your cargo to drop from the rear.

Dump trailers are available in different capacities: 24 cu. ft., 30 cu. ft., 35 cu. ft., 45 cu. ft. Different types: standard, U-dump trailer, flatbed container dump trailer, skeleton dump trailer, side-dump truck trailer.

3. Side-dump truck trailers.

Side dump truck, also known as side dump truck, side dump trailer, the structure includes chassis, box and lifting system. The extractor supplies oil to the cylinder, lifts the box to the design angle, and the cargo slides out to improve unloading efficiency. Side-dump trailers are manufactured specifically for the mining and resources industry, quarries, waste industry and other heavy-duty, high-traffic applications. Side dump trailers are built on high-strength steel chassis and are designed and manufactured to withstand extreme loads. Standard with road train rated main pin bolts and high strength, high strength Hi strength skid plates. We specialize in installing air valves and hydraulic systems for any truck valve to provide the best solution for your application.

New dump truck inspection

1. Under no-load condition, carry out the lifting test according to the operating procedures of the tipping mechanism lifting mechanism.

2. In the lifting process, pay attention to check whether the hydraulic cylinder, gear pump, control valve and other components are working normally, such as hydraulic lifting without jamming, bouncing, strange noise, etc.

3. After 8–10 times no-load lifting test, it works normally. Can be considered good dumping performance, no oil and gas leaks.

4. Check whether the oil quantity in the hydraulic oil tank is sufficient, otherwise it must be filled up according to the requirements of the specified oil level. Also check the manual operation valve, air circuit for leakage and hydraulic system for leakage.

Maintenance knowledge

1. After mentioning the new dump trailer, it must be filled with oil for the first time. This is to check whether the fuel gauge of the new dump trailer is accurate.

2. For the economy of the vehicle, it is not necessary to fill up the fuel tank later except for the first time. Usually you can raise it to 2/3. Be aware that the tank is about as full as an adult.

3. Refueling time is best in the morning, especially in the hot summer, to avoid a large amount of gas in the tank, resulting in less refueling. When the indicator light of the fuel gauge is on, refueling should be done immediately. Otherwise, the diesel pump may burn up because there is too little diesel in the tank and it can’t emit heat from the diesel pump.

Dump Truck Maintenance Costs

Maintaining dump trucks can be very expensive. In addition to the tires (which can be as much as $1,000 per tire), there is regular maintenance, fueling and insurance. In particular, dump trucks tend to consume fuel at a very high rate. They can travel 3 to 6 miles per gallon of gasoline, and of course, they are not used for cruising vehicles.

There’s an additional cost: the cost of the driver. An employee, or even yourself, needs to be qualified to drive a dump truck, which may mean that employee’s salary may be higher than your regular driver’s.
