Take notice

of

this phenomenon

this experience

of

high-voltage electricity

that arises

when

your focused attention

crosses mine.

A four-lane highway

between

your eyes

and my eyes

when we talk

high occupancy

vehicles

run

full speed

German autobahn-style

into my brain

from

your brain and

into your brain

from

my brain.

It’s a two-way

thick

electrical cord,

more like a

Golden Gate Bridge

with permanent

hanging cables

I am wired to you,

my love,

like there is no purpose.
