Why should you learn to code in 2022

The field of software engineering is getting bigger every single day. With more businesses and companies desiring automation, a lot of job opportunities are being created. Why should you learn to code? Could it have an impact on your day-to-day life? Well let’s begin

  1. Logical Thinking: As usual, programming is all about problem-solving, Learning to code can improve your problem-solving abilities and this skill is valuable in today’s world. We face problems in our day-to-day life that need solutions. The ability to think logically is priceless . Having this skill can take you very far in your respective profession.

2. Automation: You’ve probably come across repetition in your day-to-day life.
There are some tasks that you wish could just be done without your effort or energy. Learning to code allows you to automate some of those tasks. With the right programming language, you can automate a lot of tasks. Most jobs these days require a computer and a lot of tasks on the computer can be automated. If you’re able to bring up a nice software that can automate a certain task and people love it and use it. Well, you have yourself a startup idea.

3. Engineering: if you’re in an engineering discipline, learning to code will be valuable to your profession. These days hardware components interact with software and learning to code can give you a well-rounded view of how everything comes together. With better understanding comes better knowledge on how to modify a thing.

4. Earn more: Programmers are currently in hot demand and this means higher pay. Software engineering interns earn a lot more than the average salary and with the rise of remote work, the software engineering profession is now much more flexible. A lot of startups these days require some form of tech and they’re actively looking for software engineers.

5. Anyone can do it: Just like every other skill, software engineering can be learned by anyone. Yes, it can be challenging at first but it’s a skill you can learn. People of different ages are currently learning how to code and you can also do the same. Just with a simple google search, you can find a ton of tutorials that will teach you how to code.
