Thanks for the comment, Marc. Well, if there are going to be updates to my published keto methodology, I figured I would just add them to the already-existing article. There is not a lot more to say. To my mind, it’s quite simple, and the reason people need more info is because they have trouble sticking to the diet — because they have trouble getting into ketosis. They may need a keto coach. If there is anything I should add to my article, it’s the directive to “Follow directions!” It continuously flabbergasts me how people will wiggle out of following the simplest of instructions. They eat carrots, or tons of onions. Or they drink coconut water. Bla! :)
The simple question I ask when people say they’re in ketosis and not feeling good is… “How long are you comfortable going without eating?” They usually say something like four or six hours. It’s actually a trick question. If you’re in ketosis — and you’re fat-adapted — you can go all day with no food, no problem. You can go several days, in fact.
Have you done any research? I’m curious about cyclical keto… I usually do some carbs, or some red wine, on the weekend…just to let my body know it’s okay to burn carbs.
