How to vote in the upcoming NAHJ NYC elections
THANK YOU to everyone who supported me as Vice President candidate thus far. For those who are just getting to know me, hyperlinked is what I would like to accomplish with our next NYC board.
A few journalists eager to participate have asked me about how the voting process works. Here are the basics, per the current board. Please share with anyone interested:
* Voting Period: 9/26 -10/14*
1. To be eligible to vote starting 9/26, you need to have paid your dues AND be listed as Pro in the NYC Chapter. You can check that through the portal:http://bit.ly/1pmV5u1.
2. If you find that you are NOT in the NYC Chapter, please email Director of Membership Yaneth Guillen at Yaneth@nahj.org to request that change immediately.
3. Once your dues are paid and you are listed as an NYC Pro member, you will receive a ballot in your email starting 9/26. ONLY eligible members will receive this email.
It may take a few extra steps to become eligible to vote, but it’s worth it and we need you! Please don’t hesitate to DM me if you have further questions.
