Stop Being Owned by What You Own

You’re more than the material objects around you

Too often we allow our possessions to be our obsessions.

Each and every day is a battle to protect what we own.

We worry about our clothes.

We worry about the car we want.

We hope that we’ll be able to make enough money to at least keep what we have.

We want a house.

We cherish what we believe we have, and at the same time we want more.

We always want more.

And before we know it, our lives are ruled by everything we want.

Every day is spent fighting and clawing our way towards possession of the next thing.

Trading our lives for things.

Shake yourself free of the advertising propaganda that has brainwashed millions upon millions of people.

You are not what you own. You are what you think and believe, you are the people around you and the friends you laugh with.

You are the times spent with those you care about and the memories that you make.

You are the contentment that you pull from your life.

You are the example you are to others.

You are what you believe.

You are not what you own.
