“Trust the timing of your life.”
“Everything happens at just the right time.”

I dislike pat phrases like this because I am one of the many people who feel they are completely out of phase with their lives. For whatever reason, things hardly ever seem to work out as planned or the timing never seems right. Bad things happen, bad decisions are made, life gets out of control and overwhelming. Regret, frustration, and resignation set in. I know phrases like this are meant to inspire, but I always get perturbed and cynical when I see them because they always seem to refer to other people’s lives and not mine.
I know I am living in victim mode, but I don’t ever seem to be able to snap out of it for long. I’m 61 by the way, and time is not on my side.
