Which of my ideas are the most convenient?
Everyone has certain delusions, no one understands the world completely. If we’re lucky, fewer delusions over time - but never none, never an insignificant amount. It’s usually easier to disabuse yourself of an inconvenient delusion than a convenient one.
It seems then that my ideas which are most convenient might be the worst-pruned set of the whole lot. I suspect this bias compounds in organizations, though by what mechanism, I don’t yet know how to describe. Open-floor office plans come to mind, but not alone.
