Why I’m not giving Trump a chance

“We did this to ourselves, America, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to stop it.”

It is actually too late to stop his election. It is too late to change anything in just a few days or weeks or even months. It isn’t too early to plan for 2020.

You don’t have to shut up. But you should ask yourself if the reaction to the election of President Trump isn’t also contributing to the continuous, ugly, partisan mentality that brought us to this point. And will it set the tone for the 2020 election? If that happens, then you will again have an election in which a large amount of the electorate will simply be further incensed. So instead of shutting up, what can you say that will reduce partisan mentality?

Some things are too late to undo. But it isn’t too late to start being better citizens and neighbors to each other.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
