Autism

I sing loud so autism can be heard

But my voice is not the only word

We stand strong and can’t be deterred

Holding our babies tight

We try, we try with all our might

They are never far from our sight

We hear their screams, their cries, their EEEs of delight

Their gifts, their talents shine truly bright

Looking into their eyes, knowing it will be alright

Wanting for them, a calm, a peace, a moment of restful sleep

My eyes are full of tears, I try not to weep

Forever in my heart you do keep
