The Diet of Choice

Hi I’m Lynn, and I’m a product of the food I eat.

Not only have we changed our diets, but we have changed the cow’s diet and even the corn’s diet. We are producing the super cows now and they don’t need a cape.

What has happened to our food. Why do we keep trying to make it better, was corn not good enough. Do we really need this many varieties of food. Do we want to pump up our daily source of vitamins and steroids by injecting our beef or chicken. Where do we draw the line.

I see kids younger and younger getting sodas, sweet tea and lots of juice. Not to mention all the fast food they consume, that is ever so slightly different than what I grew up on.

Maybe nothing has changed, but I believe everything has changed. Why are allergies to food even more prevalent. Why does gluten or monosodium glutamate have to be in everything now. When did the trend to add dyes and sugars to everything become popular as well. I applaud the companies that are trying to change this trend. I applaud the people getting back to nature’s way.

So, as I sit here eating my bonbons and dreaming of all the donuts I will consume, I’m not judging anyone for their food choices, heck I get it. I am hoping that we can find a way to a happy medium, and also fix my thyroid so it doesn’t hate the food I love.
