I think her article was more about a cultural phenomenon she’s witnessed and her thoughts about them regarding where certain behaviors could be originating and not meant to apply to every man ever. That said, I agree with a lot of her points and I don’t think she’s meaning to say being attractive, or working to be attractive is problematic, but to comment on how some men are taught to assign blame. Having a skewed sense of blame can either allow for responsible action towards absolving the situation favorably or disallow action by removing the feeling of responsibility.
