What about Elm, ClojureScript, CoffeeScript, TypeScript, Flow, and other extensions, supersets, compile-to-JS languages/tools? There’s already a plethora out there. They’re not going away. Babel is just the closest to plain JS. Choose your presets wisely, and you’re fine. Choosing stage-0? Well, you should know that it’s far from making it in the spec.
