This is a story of a man who is so lazy and has a very bad habit of procrastination which always lead him to regrets and sometimes failure. You all know this man, his name is Hamza Shamshad. Yeah, he is I am. My goals that I could achieve, I failed to do so only because of my procrastination habit and I am still facing this problem which is hurdle in my success. So, this is a time to kill this enemy with Pomodoro otherwise it will get too late.

I often tried to get freedom from this habit but always failed because my methods were wrong. Once, I was searching on YouTube about this and I got some useful tips. These include:

1. Keep things away which can cause distraction like mobile phone, television, gathering of friends or cousins.

2. Make a list of your works and plan them accordingly and schedule them e.g. do that work first which is more important or need to be done at first.

3. Do your work for 30 mints or 1 hour and then get some rest for 5–10 minutes, then again do your work.

4. Always try to do work according to the list and try to complete them in time.

5. Do some physical exercise.

These are some tips that I followed for some days but could not able to continue.

Last week, I met with Madam Wajieha in Amal Academy and discussed about it. She treated me very nicely and gave some tips, I observed that these tips are same as I tried before. I told about it to madam. Then she told me the main reason that why I could not follow these tips. Actually, my change was sudden. I mean to say I just wanted to change that habit in just one day. Therefore, as a reaction I tired and gave up after a few days. Therefore, I could not continue it and then again come to my life of procrastination.

But after that meeting, I am trying to change my habit slowly and try to follow these tips. Actually, this is called Pomodoro Technique. I set a timer for 20 minutes instead of 1 hour (that I tried before and failed) and just focused on my work. Really, I felt that I am doing my work in less time. I faced some difficulties but I managed to overcome it. After that I took a rest for 10 minutes and checked my mobile phone then after 10 minutes I again set timer for 20 minutes and started doing my work. Now, I am feeling better and more productive. I can feel that I am not wasting my time in laziness, I am investing my time in fruitful activities. As a result, I am able to submit my project work in time and this is my first project work that I submitted in time.

I am very happy and now more determined and confident to complete my task in time and it will really help me to achieve my goals.
