Strengths are a mixture of our talents, knowledge and skills. The theory behind strengths is based on positive psychology. Everyone has strengths they are born with but few people know what these are. If we want to be a successful person in life to achieve our goals, then we should have an idea of our strengths and abilities. There are many ways by which we can learn about our abilities and a simple one is asking for feedback from friends and those who relate to our life cycle about our abilities.
When I made a survey by using the above-mentioned method to check out my abilities by writing different peoples that are connected in my life, I received different replies by different peoples. When I summarise all those replies and try to find out unique abilities that I have then I came to know that I have following abilities.
• Good sense of humour
• Leadership skills
• Team management
• Project management
• Problem solving
• Decision making
• Communications skills
• Ability to grasp the attention of audience
• Presentation skills
By identifying our strengths and abilities we can work more confidently and efficiently. Keeping the focus on developing strengths and managing weaknesses one may not have more strengths than the average individual but can learn how to utilise them better and to apply them to new situations.
