Ahora que ya no estás presente en mi vida,

siento que me faltó tiempo.

Como arena que se me deslizó entre las manos.

Me faltó tiempo para conocer nuevos lugares y viajar contigo,

me faltó decirte más cuánto te quiero y cocinar más juntos,

me faltó escribirte más y besarte más antes de dormir.

Hay un vacío que tú llenabas con tu bella sonrisa,

con las charlas largas al caminar por las calles,

al reír y admirar el mundo que nos rodeaba,

al bailar y hacer el aseo juntos,

al abrazarnos y darnos consuelo en los días difíciles.

Siento un vacío de no haber completado aquellas expectativas,

ésas metas de vida, proyectos e ideas enmarcadas en la pared,

sé que cada momento procuré disfrutarlo al máximo,

pero aún así siento que sobre todo, nos faltó tiempo.

Nos faltó tiempo para hacer todo lo que en un día quisimos,

tal vez lo ajetreada que es la vida y el incesante caminar del reloj,

Pero en cada beso y abrazo, yo sentía que podía detener el tiempo.

Ahora el tiempo corre, demasiado rápido en ocasiones.

Y no sé cómo volver a detenerlo y que me espere,

Que espere a éste corazón, que ahora bombea lágrimas,

Y te agradezco todo, pero siento que me faltó tiempo.

I ran out of time to discover new places and travel with you,

I ran out of time to tell you how much I love you and cook together more,

I ran out of time to write to you more and kiss you more before sleeping.

There’s a void that you filled with your beautiful smile,

with long conversations while walking the streets,

with laughter and admiring the world around us,

with dancing and doing chores together,

with embracing each other and give us solace on difficult days.

I feel the emptiness of not having fulfilled those expectations,

those life goals, projects, and ideas framed on the wall,

I know I tried to enjoy every moment to the fullest,

but still, I feel that above all, we ran out of time.

We ran out of time to do everything we wanted in a day,

perhaps life is too busy and the relentless march of the clock,

But in every kiss and embrace, I felt like I could stop time.

Now time is running, too fast at times.

And I don’t know how to stop it again and make it wait for me,

Let it wait for this heart, which now pumps tears,

And I thank you for everything, but I feel like I ran out of time.
