Stop thinking outside the box!
And start doing it inside.
I’m pretty sure you’ve heard “think outside the box” many times in your life. It’s become a common phrase when you talk about creativity or ideas, but have you ever tried thinking inside it?
Don’t get me wrong, breaking boundaries is awesome and everyone should do it, I’m not telling you to stop doing that, but to comtemplate the idea of constrained-thinking.
Thinking outside the box means stepping out your comfort zone, break rules, disrupt, but sometimes external factors come in and spoil your ideas. That’s when you need to get back inside that box, constrain yourself and find a way to solve whatever you’re trying to solve.
“Thinking inside the box” is setting yourself the boundaries up to where your idea can expand. By doing this, you’re forcing yourself to find a solution in a constrained space; you’re playing the game you’ve been given but it’s being shaped to suit your needs, that’s being creative.
