Ron Collins says below, “Most of the #metoo accounts I have read written by women, have involved their having held out the offering of sex in the first place, with someone they really didn’t know at all or know very well.” I would ask Ron to Google #MeToo stories. There were 1.7 million tweets from women about MeToo from 86 different countries. Facebook had over 12 million posts from women about MeToo. Go read some of those tweets and posts, Ron. The vast, vast majority of those tweets and posts were about women and girls just going about their daily lives and being sexually harassed or abused by men. Millions upon millions of posts and tweets about innocent women trying to navigate the world on a daily basis and being subjected to harassment and abuse because we walked out of our house to go to school or to earn a living and the only accounts Ron seems to remember are the very few accounts of women who apparently “had it coming” because they held out an offer of sex and had the audacity to withdraw said offer. Those are the only accounts Ron remembers out of millions. Funny how men can have such selective memories. Go read those tweets and posts, Ron.
