Your post was nice, And update it for 2016. For 2016 my suggestion is to add AMP(Accelerated Mobile Pages) by Google.

Because by this AMP my blog loads ultra speed. Most of the users satisfied with it. Now i feel lucky to be a WordPress user. WordPress users only has that AMP plugin we no need to modify it.
