What the heck is Hacktoberfest:

Here is an abridge summary. Hacktoberfest is an Open-Source contest sponsored by Digital Ocean, and invites anyone looking to make Open-Source projects improved and more popular.

This contest is in its 8th year, which includes fun swag or trees being planted in your honor.

If you find yourself intrigued, but are a new coder like myself or do not know any coding, there are still ways to help.

There are many amazing projects to check out. You will be surprised by the scope of these projects. Many amazing people have dedication countless hours to bring code to the masses!

Few projects to highlight:

DigitalOcean- provides developers cloud services that help to deploy and scale applications that run simultaneously on multiple computers.

Appwrite- is a self-hosted solution that provides developers with a set of easy-to-use and integrate REST APIs to manage their core backend needs.

Linux- is a family of open-source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991, by Linus Torvalds.

Hacktoberfest is a month-long celebration of open source software run by DigitalOcean. Hacktoberfest is open to everyone, from first-time contributors to seasoned open source developers. Appwrite is one of the projects that you can contribute to. If you are a noobie like me or straight-up vet, Appwrite is a great stop to find simple and helpful ways to contribute!
