Comparing jQuery and RxJs is a complete miss.

RxJs uses a different paradigm, it completely shifts paradigm from imperative programming (if/else) to declarative, high level pipelines.

No more nasty and unnecessary nullchecks, no more if/else.

This paradigm has been around forever. Haskell Curry nods to this.

You reason about events as data structures. You treat every event as if it was just data array. Lazy loading.

Making canvas games, complex data visualisation is a piece of cake this way. What more to love?
