Radio Broadcasting — BCIT
Deciding on post secondary took a long time for me to figure out, as soon as I graduated high school most of my friends had already applied and been accepted into the schools of their choice. I, on the hand had no idea of what I wanted to do with my life so I decided to stick to working for awhile and save some money. After working full time for 2 years and making the the mistake to take 3 random general studies courses I decided to broaden my horizons with the one thing I knew would be beneficial… a work and travel visa to England. Living and working in England was one of the best decisions I’ve made, so when I returned I realized that it was time to look seriously into post secondary.

Decisions, Decisions — BCIT
Finally deciding on radio was an idea that I had gone back and forth on for many years, I actually met a girl in England who said when I told of enrolling in a radio program actually told me “radio is dead.” The saddest part was that I let that comment bother me for a long time until I realized that there’s no way radio will be truly “dead” its just evolving so quickly and turning to brand new platforms. So I continued to research the program and careers related to radio, from then on I knew that radio was something that I needed and wanted to be a part of, so here I am today on my second semester of 1st year and excited about every minute of it.
