As someone who is talking to people literally every day about MacroFuel, a common concern I hear is that the product has too many carbohydrates. Though I try to convince people that carbs are not inherently bad, for some it is still a deal breaker. There is this deep rooted belief that carbohydrates translate directly to fat, and that the only way to lose weight is cut them as much as possible.

I’m going to try to personally dispel that myth.

For seven-and-a-half years I’ve stuck to a consistent weight lifting regimen. Since I started at the age of 15, there has not be one point where I went more than 3 or 4 days without going to the gym. When people ask why I’m so committed I really don’t have a great answer. I’ve never done any sort of competition — be it powerlifting or physique — and I don’t play any sports, so it’s not as if the strength or size helps me anywhere else. Most of the time my answer is I go to the gym to stay healthy and keep a routine, but I’m not even sure that’s the case. Ultimately I think the answer is just that I like doing it. …
