Top 5 things you notice in Bangalore when you are from Delhi

28 Kgs of luggage without a single penny spent on extra luggage charges, Yeah, I made my entry in the middle of Karnataka all geared up for the new round of life.

As I entered a zone where things would be new to me professionally, I wasn’t consciously thinking about all the change in the society I would notice and then bear with.

My first night drinking at the Madhuloka I had already done my quota of the day and was just buzzing around the place looking at the bottles kept in fridges, shelves and on the counters.

Suddenly, my eyes gazed at a tetrapack of something. I was intrigued on what this appy fizz like drink is doing in here.

And then my eyes witnessed a version of something so beautiful that I laughed with happiness. It was an old monk tetra pack.

YES, an old monk Tetrapack. You beauty.

You also get milk in tetra pack but that’s not worth a mention on my blog.

Day’s passed in office and I was curious to see more. I wondered everyday how things are different but could never come to a conclusion why ?

The people are different sure, but what’s so different about them got me thinking.

They don’t smoke on the roads.

In a hurry ? Sure I understand but why would you blow your smoke on my face, huh ?

Back home you could see plenty of people with burning sticks be it a cig or a beedi. Not here, yes that’s very nice to see. They stand at the shops, take their smokes and smoke it out while standing there. Peaceful.

The shawarma has cabbage inside it, yuck .

Why would you do that to a shawarma huh ? it’s not okay guys, you put onions and loads of meat inside it. Give it to me with mayo and that’s what I would call a shawarma.

No cabbage in shawarma. Period.

Days and nights passed until I finally got to see a little bit more. I lent a scooter and went for a ride in Bangalore. Guess what I found ?

When you’re lost, every road is a one way.

Yes, that’s true. Everywhere I went I had people abusing me because I was driving in the wrong direction, but it made no sense why would you put really close places together and not reachable unless you parked somewhere or you went all around the way to be on the right side of the road.

Every time I had to search for a new place I waited at every junction to see where the traffic is heading to and if the riders are also driving in the opposite direction. Well, that’s just great riding isn’t it. hmpf.

Thinking of celebrating ? Going to buy expensive liquor today is that correct ? Guess what, you can’t, the liquor is crazy expensive.

Well even the petrol is expensive but you don’t care because it’s not what will give you a buzz tonight, right ?

Go buy a fine whiskey or a scotch and I dare you that you would have come out of the shop disappointed.
It’s not like those Delhi days when liquor was cheap for you and I.

You’d walk in a shop, look around, ask for prices of the expensive looking bottles with fancy names and wonder should I drink you tonight ?

No, you walk in, look around at the whiskey you use to drink in college and are already over it. Then you look at something you like. You take one and ask for the price.

Whaaat ? But that’s not true, it shouldn’t be that expensive. Never mind give me a minute to think.

You come out of the shop having bought a bottle you’re not happy with, you miss satisfied liquor shopping, don’t you ?

Also, you don’t even have a gurgaon to buy late night booze from, you suck theguywhomadeliquorlawsinbangalore.
